For the looks of it they got more "snacky stuff".
Too bad they eliminated the oatmeal blocks and the buiscuits.

They took out 60% of the tea, a decent hot breakfast entree (corned beef hash rules
) and it seems all the decent evening meal mains, oatmeal block and biscuits fruit filled, lifeboat matches and puritabs. In return we get a small muesli, and fruit and nut trail mixes,wet fruit, pouched tuna. both of which I like, and masses of various "energy" drinks. Give me mk1 tea any time!
Significantly the calore content appears to have dropped from the average 5000 cals of the "old" box, to around 4000 in this one. There is a section of the vid that you can still, which quite clearly shows the nutrition content of the ration box.
The old ration calorie content was never shown on the box, but I am assuming from contents that it was closer to the 5000 mark in cals. I bet the protein content is down too in the new one.
