It'll be brief as I've eaten this during a day of work so I've got a lot more to do

This Lithuanian nr.3 is my go-to cheap but tasty food ration for when I'm on the go/out doing work away from somewhere to prepare or purchase "normal food" .
It contains my favourite ration Jam and favourite ration beverage powder. And that's before I praise the good quality, well seasoned and tasty main meal in this (needs no seasoning added and very warming and filling). Or the excellent dark chocolate .

Contents of this are:

-beef with pearl barley
-almonds
-exquisite blackcurrant jam
-cherry drink powder
-chicken boullion powder/ soup powder
-polish special crackers
-FRH
-sugar sachet 12g
-fuel tabs, spoon, matches and folding stove
-wet wipe


I ate this up super quick and really enjoyed it. This type of food translates well to the Irish palate as we traditionally also have stews and other heavy, sustaining food in our traditional dishes to suit a cold, damp climate and historicly at least work outdoors in cold, damp conditions.
I find myself well satisfied now and primed to go back to work.

Hopefully it conveys some idea of the ration anyway. That wood pile and the fence behind it are my next too tasks so I'm glad I'm all fueled up again to tackle it.

Really cool review! That jam looked really good with the biscuits.
And the chocolate looked pretty cool, without any bloom on it.

Probably not as much as I did eating it though. These Lithuanian rations are spot on.
That Ruta chocolate is great. It's dark chocolate so it's bitter but if you eat a few of these European rations you'll get used to the chocolate.

That is cool man! I enjoy dark chocolate, so I wouldn't have to worry about that

Dearest Conrad - Fabulous review, thanks for sharing... no more "complaining" from me Love those Lithuanian rations... I have all the pork menus but have yet to get a beef or chicken... will have to get this menu now.

EDIT: Is that an apple tree?

Yes, there are several apple trees there of an unknown variety but sweet and tasty with pink tinged "flesh". There is also a small but bountiful fig tree in that garden.


I advise you to try the beef versions, if you like the others you will not be disappointed
