Kazakh 24h menu 2 (2016)

My first Kazakh ration. This is one of the simplest 24h rations you can find (similar was the old Ukrainian).
The bag is divided into compartments, so I present the content accordingly breakfast: - crackers, tea, sugar, beef pate, vegetable ragout
The crackers are thick, but not very hard, have a pleasant neutral taste similar to the Russian. The beef pate (beef meat and brains, onion, spices) was really bland and there was no salt or pepper in the raton to improve taste. The ragout (mainly eggplants, carrots, onion) was salty and sour - it looked better than it tasted. These two cans can be eaten together - maybe a bit better.
The black tea is awesome - the best I've ever had in rations. Quite strong, but not bitter or sour, pleasant smell. I will not upload pics of all cans - they look almost the same.
Lunch:
crackers, wheat grouts with beef, stewed beef.
The wheat grouts with beef in quite unique - I saw oat grouts or buckwheat, but not wheat. Everything swims in the fat and this makes the taste. Not bad, but very greasy. The stewed beef was excellent, enhanced with salt, pepper, onion, bay leaf. Big chunk of meat, together with crackers soaked in the juice - perfect ! dinner:
buckwheat with beef, sugar, tea, crackers, apple jam
The main dish was good - buckwheat soaked with beef paste. Not many spices, but pleasant. The apple jam (Russian) is excellent. It's a pity that it is packed in a big bag - you cannot squeze it out (like in Russian IRP). And that's all - simple content and simple tastes. Worth to try - because it shows local tastes and possibilities.
