I was on night shift and Mrs is at the Granddaughter so I had rations for dinner
Pork stew ("goulash") w/ potatoes
New is the freezedried dessert Mousse au Chocolat what is a "foamed" chocolate pudding.
The cut open container (please do not try to pull it open, it won´t work)
After microwaving on a plate with a crisp roll
The two different grapefruit drinks (Read more about
->here<-)
Done. Great as usually!!
The dessert
Add 100ml of (cold) water and stir
Wow, like real "Mouse" and it had little chocolate "chips" in it
The Goulash is very well know from the previous EPas (Typ II) and I´m happy they kept it. Nice cubes of potatoes and nice chunks of pork. New to me was the freezedried dessert what is a nice surprise to me. The only drawback to me is, to prepare it in the fields. I had an eggbeater to whisk it:
but still with this it didn´t dissolved at all. Now guess this in the fields with nothing but a spoon?

What´s about the soup pouch?
This was a Belgian soup with no date on it. Due to the pouch I guess it´s 5-10 years old.
Lets give it a try!
Add 250ml of boiling water
Does it have to look like this?! It didn´t look like a creamed soup but like "clotted" milk. The taste was "OK" but it smelled "odd" like "moist wood" so I didn´t eat it.

I thought the Typ 6 was 2012 and later, so at worst you had a 2012 (5 years old max) ration, right? That soup can't have been a lot older than that, or can it?
Or am I confused about the EPa dates again?
That chocolate mousse looks interesting as well!

Right, at the freezedried pouch you can read the production date 19.07.2012, so was the entree - just 5 years old.
The soup didn´t come from the EPa, it was from a Belgian one (if I remember right). The Belgian ones are almost the same as the French RCIR ones witch different labeling. The white, "plain" pouches are far more than "just" 5 years old.

Oh, I thought it was Belgian made but came from the EPa. Never mind then
