Guys, yesterday we had a sunny day at 0°C (32F) so we did a little trip into a former ammo storage installation.
Empty ammo shelters
Driving from ammo facility to a place for lunch
Our motor pool...
BBQ place
Everyone is preparing lunch
I had a freezedried MH as you know it from LRPs and MCW
After reconstitution:
A
LOT of food with a nice chicken/rice taste I really enjoyed.

I was too curious about that 1992 EPa:
24 years old entree
Still edible
24 years old crackers, still have their vacuum
"Cooking" French entrees

Our special guest was that Italian one
First view inside from top
The three boxes (breakfast, lunch, dinner) taken out
Three tooth brushes and waste bags
Esbit cooker, candy, a tube of condensed sweet milk, coffee etc. but nothing to eat for breakfast...
...except some bland crackers
All breakfast items
Lunch items
Entree
A snack (?), canned pork meat with gelatin (very yummi!!!)
The dinner entree

Next stop over
kept going to a place where they had a housing area 750-400 B.C.
(that little chapel was a bread baking house back in this time, first documents were from 1317 )

What an adventure!
Great weather, nice variety of cool cars, your buddies, and that good looking food!

Looks like fun times, Housil.
That 1992 EPA looked great - and awesome scenery photos as always too.

Some good quality time for sure. Great pictures, thanks for sharing.
The 1992 EPA looked like it just came out of the factory.

Great review housil! I assume the ammo bunkers were cold war era? Amazing that the 1992 EPa was still edible, they sure are made to last!

Awesome stuff!
There's an old abandoned US Naval base an hours drive from me, I should do a review there sometime.
(It is odd to have a US Base in Canada, but Newfoundland/Britain gave the land for the base to the US in WW2)
