Australian Defence Force CR1M menu C (2014)
Lamb with Rosemary - this was dissapointing, you can taste and smell lamb but overall very bland and it's also very oil/fat meal, used mashed potatoes with it
Peppered Steak with Mushroom soup - wow this was one of the ration highlights lol, first time I had this kind of soup, you can tast pepper and mushrooms
Sports drink lemon lime - 1 pack for 1 liter... would be much better as 2x500mil or 4x250mil... you can taste the fruit in it, but it also reminds me of apple juice...
Biscuit cream cracker - just crackers, only 1 packs of them but it's OK since you get rice and mashed potatoes
Fruit cake bar - it's eatable but nothing that I will remember, it's not bad, it's not good... real army dessert
Fruit marmalade - citrus fruite marmalade, small tube but it's enough to get more tastes in you over the day
Diced peaches in syrup - Matt told me it goes bad almost the same year it's made. Mine was still OK I liked it, classic peaches in sugar water..
Cereal bar apricot - not something I imagine as creal bar, more like some strange fig bar but it was really good
Muesli natural with skim milk - this was very good, does not say how much water to add
Instant mashed potato - the lowpoint of the ration very bad strange smell from the start, it had something like lamb smell all over it
Instant noodles - although it's listed (that's why I posted a picture of menu C contents) I didn't get any noodles
Lifesavers candy - the big one, classic pepermint candy
-----------------------------------------
Instant rice - this was great to have
Chocolate drink - this was great
Instant coffee - it's OK, reminds me of polish SRG coffee I hated but it seems it's growing on me
Tea - classic dark-indian-ceylon tea
Sugar - it's just enough of it
Chocolate ration - changed colour but very nice tasting chocolate, very crumbly and not bitter at all
M&M's - they lived to see opening of the bag
Cheddar cheese - I don't like it it had nice cheese smell but taste was a little bit off to sour
Yeast extract - very salty, I liked this... now I want to taste marmite and vegemite
Tomato ketchup - more like tomato concentrate, still didn't helped mashed potatoes to get better RIP
Pepper - only one bag
Salt - only one bag
Sweetened Condenesed milk - it went bad, so hard I could not squeeze it, start leaking on the other end... didn't want to risk it so I didnt used it
Chewing gum - nice lemon lime gum, very soft from the start... chewing more and longer = laxative
Chocolate spread - this was great, I liked it, no nuts just cocoa I guess
Beef steak bar - peppered kind, little hot not much, softer then usual beef jerky
Tabasco sauce - one pack but it bloated so I didnt used it... good thing it didn't explode all over the bag
Ziplock bag - great addition to ration
FRED - it's great little tool, spoon is ok for eating cheese but not for anything else but to use it as a spread knife/spoon
Spoon - THE BEST RATION SPOON BY FAR
Menue-ingredients list-infrmation for users - very nice, lot's of information
Minus - there is no wet napkins, only one bags of salt and pepper, only one bag of drink powder looking like a solid mass to powder
Sorry if I missed something... this is really big ration LOL

Excellent review! I figured the fruit cake bar would be better though. I have only had one of these CR1M's back in like 2009, maybe soon I can manage to trade/ get another...

Awesome review! These Australian CR1M's certainly do have a nice amount of components, and of course, with all military rations, some entree's are simply "hit or miss".
I've got a Menu A coming in the next few days, I can't wait to see what might be in it.

Re: Australian Defence Force CR1M menu C (2014)
Thanks guys. Now I'm thinking maybe switching sides with the entrees would be beter even though beef and rice was just amazingly great for a meals that came from a pouch. Maybe someone in the future tries beef with mashed potatoes and lamb with rice, I would like to know if rice would soak up that oil and fat and by doing that make this dish better. Too bad I could not try it with tabasco, but there is a lot of CR1M's nowadays so I'm looking forward to see more reviews here and on the youtube.
@BTemple
You are getting this peppere steak and mushroom soup. I hope you will like it. Just don't forget to drain the rice.
The packaging of CR1M's are the ones I don't like but to my suprise there where no problems with damaged contents beside that crushed crackers and we all know they tend to crush even in better +cardboard box packagings.
