So, I've had this ration sitting in my inventory for some time now. I acquired it directly from a military surplus company in the UK. I was surprised that I was able to get them to ship it to me in the US. Needless to say, it came through customs completely sealed and undisturbed.
Normally I would give my review in the order in which I have consumed the ration. However, since I consumed this ration over several days, I figured that I would order it in how I would have had it if it was within a 24 hr period.
So, with that said, here is breakfast:
A very simple breakfast of the oatmeal block and several biscuit fruit. I actually ate quite a lot more of the biscuits than shown here. I also tried a cup of the coffee from the ration. Needless to say, the coffee quickly got dumped. I don't know if it turned bad or just of a type I don't like. The oatmeal block was tasty. It reminded me more of a cookie and the biscuits reminded me of fruity gingersnaps. Either way, it was a good start.
Moving on to lunch, I had a bit more of a tangible meal.
I placed the bag of Chicken and Dumplings into a pot of boiling water and had my appetizer, Chicken and Mushroom paste on Biscuits Brown...
The taste of both the paste and the biscuits was actually rather bland...
I made up a half a pack of the orange drink to have with my lunch. The drink tasted very much like orange Tang. The meal was very very tasty. I couldn't believe this was packaged food. A good amount of flavor and spice. The dumplings weren't gummy and there was a good amount of chicken, which was in actual pieces.
After lunch, I decided to try a couple of boiled sweets. I really liked how they are wrapped, and the flavor was quite good. These will be nice to take on my camping trip in a month.
For dinner, I had the Spaghetti and Meatballs... I used up the 2nd half the the orange drink pack and settled down with the remaining Biscuits Brown and my meal. My 4 1/2 year old son actually wanted to try some of this and he really enjoyed it. The pasta was tender and the meatballs were firm and tasty. Once again, this is military food?
For desert, the infamous chocolate pudding as the Brits call it... Wow! It is like a dense chocolate cake that had chocolate syrup and sort of an instant chocolate pudding (normal pudding) around it... It was even better when I heated it up.
All in all, I was glad that I had a chance to try this ration... I am actually happy that I ate it at home over the course of a few days as I'm not sure if the orange drink, or the meals were the culprit of the nasty heartburn that I had after eating...
I still need to try the Golden Vegetable soup, the hot chocolate, the stock drink, and the tea...

Thx for sharing your pictures
The reason for your heart could be that fat of the meals. UK rations have a higher amount of fat, not like the MREs they are low-fat.
I like the UK rations as they are very rich.hannonmc wrote: All in all, I was glad that I had a chance to try this ration... I like the hot chocolate, it´s different from a MRE cocoa (I real love)hannonmc wrote: I still need to try the Golden Vegetable soup, the hot chocolate, the stock drink, and the tea...
