French Armed Forces 24 Hour Combat Ration Review RCIR 2018 Menu #9

Post by ReadinessReviews » Wed Jun 09, 2021 11:09 am

After more than two years I'm finally doing a review of my very first French Military Ration. This is a Combat Ration Individual Reheatable or RCIR for short. The RCIR is the main combat ration of the Armed Forces of France and is meant to sustain a solder for a 24 Hour period with 3 main meals and snacks in between. Unlike the American Meal Ready to Eat the RCIR has extremely high quality food. Some of the items you may even say are gourmet. There aren't many military rations from around the world that you will find ingredients such as duck and venison in and the canned cheese in this meal is the best I've ever had. It's unfortunate the crackers didn't hold up very well but most everything else was excellent and well worth the wait.

Thanks for Watching!
