For dinner we ate 1992 German EPas, highlight to me was the beloved "Schmalzfleisch".
"Schmalzfleisch" is not lard only, it´s a cooked "sausage meat" in a jar, cover with lard and aspic.

The "vintage", solide 1992 container cut open a little slice on the 1992 "Panzerplatten" crackers.
These EPas had two packages of crackers. The first one had a leak and all vacuum was gone. These crackers were spoiled (rancid).
The second one were still sealed in their vacuum and had a very slightly, rancid smell, but the taste was still "OK" to everone
We slept outdoors with no tents, just a cot and sleeping bag. At16°C (60f) no big challenge. As we had thunderstorm all Saturday, Goretex covers were requested

At 6am it started to rain for an hour, so no big deal. Continental EPa breakfast and US cereals Canned bread, jam, Panzerplatten from a 2008 EPa, prefect in taste Help me with these.
Typ I, date code 8053
Not 2018 for sure (Typ II), 2008 was Tasters Choice so that one should be 1998?
The taste was good to me, a "smooth", mild coffee I liked
