What happened to foreign rats?

What happened to the fairly easy availability of foreign rations shipped to USA? I must have spent 2K on various foreign rats from 2014-2018. Now, can't get anything in US. WTF? Over. Never bothered me spending $40-50 on a fresh RCIR or EPa, etc. etc. MRE mountain went Toes-Up, the guy in Texas doesn't have doodly-squat. Heck, we even had a couple guys in NYC with a business. It's all gone.

For the USA, I think the USDA crackdown, pre-COVID was the clincher. Just witness the whittling away at a great ration business the last couple years, namely ForeignMRE.com. The variety was truly global, now not so much. I purchased a Norwegian ration from them recently and have been buying French R.I.Es from an Ebayer in Paris that is very reasonable, quick shipping and so far no customs molestations.
