1990 German EPA Main Lentil Stew with Sausages

Post by sirskunki » Mon Aug 24, 2020 3:16 am

This weekend I opened a 1990 German EPA Type III and tried the main. Haven't planned to write a review but thought I could share the pictures I took.

The ration appeard to be in a very good condition, so my hopes were high and I wasn't disappointed. Not only was the meal perfectly edible after 30 years, it was actually very good. The broth was savoury and the sausages tender and juicy 8)

Me too! I almost couldn't believe it :D

I've also tried the cheese spread which was still good aswell. The "panzerplatten" were a bit stale, but edible.

The oldest EPa main I ever ate was "just" 19 years old and still great.
