I recently got some 2020 EPa´s Typ 5, those have the current brown pouches made by "Erasco". A well known German convenience food producer. I´m not a this big fan of pouches as you need a canteen, a cooker and water to heat them up always.
Since a couple of years, EPas also got a "best by date" and do not longer have a production date on. That one is best by 2022 The opened pouch, nothing spectacular to mention so far Heating up in the microwave After eating, I reread the ingrediens and noticed it say "sin Carne", not "con Carne" so it´s a vegetarian meal. Just break up a "Beef Patty, Chunked and Formed, Restructured, Mechanically Separated, Grill Marks Added"* and you'll be all set.
