I absolutely love this review, Parafireboy!

Gundog sent me one of these around Christmas time (Thanks man!!) and I had it on my last camping trip.

The Galacian Stew woulda been perfect in cold weather - sadly in my case it was like 85 degrees F making it feel like Christmas in July here in FL.

The drink mixes are like an Electrolyte/Amino Acid beverage base with light flavoring. I would put 2 in a 16.9 oz bottle of water and it brings ya back to life in hot weather.

I had Pan Galetta with mine and I gotta say those crackers are alot like German EPA HArtkeks only softer and less sweet! Still very good and went great with the stew and that interesting jam stuff (Which was like agave nectar).

The soup was not too exciting but it was revitalizing with the drink mix in water for replenishing your salt. It was hot out like mentioned before so I had mine with luke warm water.

OK! Now here's the fun part folks!

Parafireboy ever so generously sent me a package last week and I got the Squid in Ink!!!

I had it at a nice get-together with friends and shared the good dessert items he sent with my group of friends, thank you so so much for that man it really added to the evening!

NOW - for the Squid! I challenged a friend with extreme foody-fortfitude on trying some with me. He wimped out, spat it out and cowered into the other room.

This left me with the rest of it for myself!! Woohoo!! I loved it, slight graininess at points (Shells or sand? ah I've had worse this was like candy to me by this point).

It was tender, slightly salty, slightly fishy, tasted like the sea. Like REALLY high quality tender calamari without the breading.

They were whole little squids with the legs tucked inside their cute little plump bodies. I gorged on them and drank the ink like a champ. The rest of the group of friends stood mortified of my actions, and were in awe. :D

This was a fantastic experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I wish I had a stash of these things! Wonderful!! :D :D

Thanks again Parafireboy for the experience, and letting me assist you in this now dual-review! I had an absolute blast!!

Cute little legs stuffed inside this poor poor squid! He tasted like lightly sweet, salty, fishy, tender, oily, savory, and satisfying perfection! :)

Since I had sent this to parafireboy before it was sent on to steve1989 I know it had an expiration of at the soonest December 2017. I bought them in late 2014, and I want to say they were 2012 dop. The stamp 12.00559 on the can might be a form of date stamping?
