Hello again everyone! For dinner last night I had the cevapcici. Since I was back in the camper, I just heated it on the stove in it's container. I also had the fruit salad and some more of the keks. The beverage tonight was the "exotic" one.
I had previously had the commercially-available cevapcici entree, which is almost identical to the military issued one, just with commercial packaging / marketing, so I knew it would be good. There were plenty of sausages, and the rice was perfectly done. This was my favorite entree of this ePA.
The fruit salad was good as well. It had pineapple, apricots (I think), and pears. It was in a thicker, syrup-like base. They give you a good amount too (150 g).
The keks, as I also mentioned in the lunch review, are very good. They are thick and sturdy, but not too hard. Just hard enough as to be durable. They have a very nice, slightly sweet flavor, almost like a subtle graham cracker taste.
The exotic drink mix was not my favorite in this Typ II. The grapefruit one was very good, but the exotic one was just OK. It tasted like mango, and I'm not a huge fan of mango. Still, it was light, and didn't have the aftertaste that some of the MRE beverages have.
I had planned on having one of the meat spreads, but I was plenty full after the entree, the fruit salad, and the keks, so I'll save them for breakfast.
I really like the ePA gum too. They taste like they have a good amount of spearmint oil in them, and they are good-sized and last awhile. They give you a package of ten of them, which is great!
I continue to be very pleased with the quality of the ePA!
Sorry for the big photo file size, I'm still "in the field" and have limited editing capabilities. Thanks for reading!
