Hello all,

Was randomly searching for stuff on Amazon and came across this sort of civilian looking version of the 24hr ration, or something that resembles a First Strike Ration.

https://www.amazon.com/XMRE-3000XT-24HR ... airy+Shake

Anybody have any knowledge of this or tried one? :? I'm not really sure but I think the price on Amazon is for four of the meals in one case. If I am reading that right.

Here's the only customer review:
They are what advertised but when I tried living on them for a week long camping trip by day 2 I couldn't stand the taste. Next time its dehydrated food that looks a lot more palatable to me.

Alohakid,

Yep, I saw the same review and thought the poster might have been under the impression that MRE's were supposed to be gourmet cuisine. Guess he didn't supplement his rations with other stuff or pack some spices.

By looking at the product close up, it looks like there are genuine MRE parts in the ration with the exception of a MIL-SPEC item. Also I noticed that there is no company information listed, either on the outer box or the ration. I just wonder if this is a spin off from Wornick or one other major MRE supplier.
