2010 Sure-Pak 12 Maple Sausage

Post by shawker71 » Wed Nov 30, 2016 11:58 am

I thought I would take a chance on an eBay auction for 6 maple sausage and 12 pork rib meals. I was leery of them being 2010's but for the price it was worth the gamble.

First up is the Maple Sausage:

It has: entree, orange bev, mocha dessert bar, strawberry jam, crackers, applesauce w/raspberry puree, coffee, creamer, salt, pepper, MRE spoon, FRH, napkin

Plated.

Now my thoughts:
Everything was fresh tasting so that fear was alleviated. The FRH sizzled just barely but even using salt water didn't get warm.

Maple Sausage: was exactly the same as the MRE meal so no complaints there other than not being heated.

Applesauce: raspberry puree made this a nice treat

Dessert Bar: I cheated and took the Chocolate Banana Nut bar out of the rib meal since I had never tried one. My normal opinion of these did not change, it is a weird feeling on the teeth chunk of fudge. They do nothing for me.

Jam/crackers: why is there never enough jam?? Tasted fine otherwise.

I didn't mix the bev base or coffee up or open the acc packet. We all know what they taste like.

Overall I really enjoyed this one and will look for more of them. I hope you enjoyed.
The first to bring you the MRE pizza stone.

I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed the pork and sausage patty entrees in the MRE's, they're certainly not something I would ever choose to eat outside of that. I've never had a McRib at McDonald's or anything. Hahahaha

That looks nice, I think apple sauce is a perfect side dish for the maple sausage or really any kind of pork meat.
