PackIt Gourmet Meals

I paid the bills, and filled the oil tank the other day. There were couple of bucks left in the account.
So, in order to spread out the cost of getting ready for spring and summer camping, I put in an order with PackIt Gourmet for a half a dozen meals and a couple of desserts.
I have heard relatively good things about them, and wanted to give their meals a tryout. However, it was a tough call, since I had to combine spending money [which I never like to do, can't really afford to do, and probably shouldn't do] with maximizing a purchase to balance out the shipping costs. Cuz the shipping is a little pricey... [For me at least]... and no "slow boat" options available.
But I got really speedy delivery. They showed up today. These are "steep"-in-the-bag meals... You boil water, pour it over/into the mix, give them a shake, and then let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
It looks like I'm going to be making up some kind of a pot cozy out of closed-cell foam and Mylar bubble wrap. Lucky I have both.
I've got sausage gumbo, chicken and dumplings, "State Fair" chili, red beans and rice, a polenta dish, both a chocolate and a strawberry dessert that serve two, and some Cholula and Texas Pete hot sauces so I don't have to go to the fast food joints for my hot fix.
Look for some reviews once I have the opportunity to take them upcountry.
