Oh, the let-down... !!

I got all worked up and excited down at the market just a little while ago when I saw these things....

Then I realized that the little silver flag down on the right hand edge of each package actually said,
"Just Add_____[insert your favorite meat here]_____".
It's just soup/sauce in a bag....
Boy oh boy, they sure do print the "just add" a whole lot smaller than they print the "CHICKEN"

I guess it might be OK if you're willing to settle for tuna scampi or corned beef marsala.

Didn't know that Campbells did sauces aswell. I thought they only made diet-soups or something like that :shock:
Tried - American MRE, Swedish MRE.

Got - American MRE, German MRE/EPA, UK Rations, Swedish Rations.

The fire roasted tomato variety was AMAZING! Made it with 1 1/2 lbs of cubed steak. Haven't seen that variety lately though. Just be careful with these, they are absolutely loaded with sodium!

They should make them also for venison, squirrel, possum, and cat !

How is the sodium content? I was thinking of possibilities for a shtf stock-up but a lot of that stuff lasts forever because there's so much sodium and preservatives in it which is ok if you have plenty of water.
