MH Potatoes & Cheese w Broccoli

Post by housil » Sun Jul 27, 2014 1:01 pm

We didn´t feel like cooking today so let´s have a ration :D

Give that one a try the frist time

The ingredients
MH BCP2.jpg
After opening the pouch, a nice "broccoli" smell came out of it
MH BCP3.jpg
After reconstitution (8 min 2.5 cups boiling water)
MH BCP4.jpg
That´s two "cute" servings, not enough if you are starving
MH BCP5.jpg
Great texture, a little bit "solid" even if I used more hot water than recommended
MH BCP6.jpg
Over all, another great MH freeze dried dish we really enjoyed, just had to add a dash of salt.

Looks tasty!

I don't remember ever having a bad Mountain House meal... :)

Nicely documented Housil !
The "serving sizes" have always been a bit of an issue, I tend to scarf a whole one myself, I like adding my garlic-pepper.

Good review and the point about serving size. If you added a (diced) single serving pouch SPAM you would have a very filling nighttime meal. I am going on a three day hike in West Virginia next month. This meal might bring a interesting change of pace.
My hiking group favors MT House Beef Stroganoff as the favorite, but we all are interested in trying different MT House meals.
