Here a link to a review of the Veggie "Lasagna" from Meal Kit Supply that I stumbled on:

Regular MREs are considered "three" course; the two-course meals sold by Meal Kit Supply are just an entree, dessert and beverage.

That link actually reviews Ratatouille. It's probably my favorite veggie entree, although I haven't had a veg lasagna one yet (and it is now phased out).
That "Two Course" meal appears to have even less in it than an official TOTM, which itself is about 2/3 of a full MRE. My most recent TOTM contained a pork "rib" patty, zapplesauce, crackers, drink, and M&Ms (plus a reduced acc pack, FRH, and spoon.)

Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
Re: A TWO course meal ??
Thank you for the correction. It is in the ratatouille rather than lasagna. I was so entertained by the description of it is a "two course" meal that I got carried away.
And I have to agree, I don't see these much smaller meals, at that price point, as much of a deal at all. I'll stick with the milspec.

It seems like the companies that are trying to be on par with or outdo the official DoD MRE are all overpriced... Meal Kit Supply, XMRE, etc. The "real" thing is much cheaper on eBay, or even in the Commissary if you have access.
