Over the course of our first few PMs, I kept badgering poor Adrian about what
exactly he wanted, and after much patience on Adrian's part, he finally got thru to me that he wanted to be "surprised" (other than the core stuff that had started our discussions).
See, I'm a software engineer, and regularly deal with "specs", so a spec of "surprise me" is not something my brain knows how to deal with.
When I spotted this:

I figured it qualified as a "surprise me".
I ordered two, and did some
rigorous Quality Assurance Testing, before sending the other to Adrian.
Bad news: it's no longer in stock at STP.
Good news: I Binged it, and found this, which appears to be the actual manufacturer ("Backpacker's Pantry"):

It's currently on sale ($4.50 (that's about a dollar more than I paid at STP)).
I thought it was kind of cool that it had three separate items (in separate bags). BP has a bunch of such FD "complete" meals, but the rest are multi person (typically four).
Here's a partial list of BP's "complete" meals:

They don't list their calorie counts, so it's hard to tell if those are
really enough for four adults.
Inspired by Adrian's review, I just prepped the first post in a review of the Backpacker's Pantry 3-day kit. I sent a couple of those pouches to Adrian, so between us, we'll give you a new batch of reviews!
P.S. Dirtbag, yes, it's definitely marketing.

Though if they hadn't titled it "astronaut", I'd still have bought one to try (beef stew FTW!), but probably wouldn't have thought to buy a second to send to Adrian.
