Thanks for the clarification laughing_man! Although the sesame-type nut bars, canned oranges, and the meji (?) candy did look pretty good on that repro-rations page, I'm not sure how well I'd have done living on the other rations all the time. I guess it is part of the hardship of being a soldier. One thing is for sure, today's JSDF rations have lots of nutrition in them!
