MRE's are meant to live a long time, but what about other food stuffs?
Today we look at Bisquick Complete Mix, Three-Cheese Biscuits: Vintage Pre 2004
If we estimate one year shelf life, this mix is 9 years old. Better if used by January 17, 2004 Inside looked fine and smelled of cheese, powdered cheddar cheese. Everything mixed well and i cooked as close to the directions as possible. I had a hard time eating these.
-The flavor was a very pungent cheese like flavor
-The texture was quite dense.
But they were Not spoiled in any way at all, a little butter helped but it just wasn't to my liking flavor wise.
For biscuit mix that expired 8 years ago it held up like a champ.
