Review for eFoodsDirect MREs?

Post by angfar » Fri Oct 14, 2011 9:53 am

Does anyone have any opinions/experience with eFoodsDirect.com? It seems to be a newer company so I haven't seen many reviews of their MREs. I like the long shelf life, the fact that they seem to focus on healthy food, and the containers have no BPA. But it looks like it is all vegetarian so I wonder if it will be filling. I am going to order the 6 Free Meals sampler so I can taste it for myself but would appreciate hearing others opinions/concerns as well (and if you would not recommend eFoodsDirect, which MRE brand do you prefer?)

Never tried them, but the free sampler sounds ok.
Technically, they're not MRE's, but freeze dried/dehydrated foods, needing lots and lots of water.
And a small stove, and pots etc.
Probably good for SHTF, as long as you have everything needed to prepare it.
Real MRE's are 'wet packed', ready to eat out of the pouch. Simpler but heavier...
I have a combination of MRE's and freeze dried, in #10 cans.

That´s why I moved that "infomercial" over here.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the idea of having a mix of MRE/just-add-water options.

Angfar I have tried the beef stroganoff and tortillas soup. If you look a few threads below this one you will see the two reviews with pics. I found them quite good and have bought a few more sample packs since.
