Stay Alert gum, Scho-ka-kola and other coffeine loaded "guns

I've used both of them (many thanks to Treesuit for my excellent 9/10 on written exam on SAR training). So, your pros and cons for these, any other products suitable to field use, all loaded with coffeine. :)

Great topic, fellow caffeine Geek, ak70g2! :)

I bought some Penguin mints a few months ago, and have been meaning to do a multi-day semi-stress test. Now you've given me an extra incentive to do so, and contribute a write-up. I've also been experimenting with caffeinated "energy gels", with good success. Will review soon.

What are "Scho-ka-kola"?
Picture(s) please! :)

P.S. As soon as I've completed my next move, I too will join the Treesuit homebrew testers' club (THTC?), and get to try out some of the rare & way-kewl FSR items. ;)

My thoughts: caffeine has been both praised and vilified pretty much since it first appeared. It has been linked to everything from high blood pressure to urinary dis-orders to, of course, keeping one awake and alert. That being said, so long as you don't rely on it as your primary source of energy and alertness (a good night's sleep and proper diet can do wonders as well) AND you make sure to drink extra water whenever possible, you should have no problem.

This is the picture of my first Scho-ka-kola can:

It's made in Germany, is a kola nut extract loaded chocolate. Very good, very tasty. Is viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3852 a thread about it.

I'd like to have both this chocolate and Stay Alert gum, 'cause I do a lot of exhausting work on SAR team and others (my college exams comes to my mind) and some coffeine will do good. For chocolate I'll ask our german friends, but Stay Alert gum is available in stores?

I had forgotten about the SH-K-K thread Adrian :!: Well salvaged.

Re- reading it after over a year, I am still surprised that SH-K-K has not introduced an energy bar range. I suspect they would be incredibly successful, given the companies' iconic status.

Never had caffeine gum. Not sure if it is available in the UK.

We have Proplus here. Seems half the country is on it sometimes  http://www.proplus.co.uk/about.htm

Looking at it, it has the same caffeine as Stay alert gum, per dosage.

I have not had one for 25 years since leaving uni. Brings back scary memories of finals revision  I once went 5 days and nights on the bloody things
