Welcome to the forums, 854x4. I haven't ordered those civilian MREs before but they look like they might be a step up from the usual crap MREs that CTD sells. In this case, it looks like they might be either full Ameriqual APack meals or at least parts from the APack meals.

If it were me, I'd pick up a case of Sopakco Sure-Pak MREs from here:

for $79. I'd be paying $10 more, but I'd also be getting free shipping and a reliable product.

Alternatively, I could get some for-real APacks from here for $73 with free shipping:

From looking at the photo from cheaperthandirt, it doesn't look like the Apack MREs (made by Ameriqual) come in the original Ameriqual packaging (outer box). Cheaperthandirt typically seems to sell the inferior civilian type MREs that you can make on your own...i.e. store bought goods with little shefl life. So, I'd go with kman's recommendations and buy them from another company. If the Apacks don't come in the original packaging, it's tough to say how the individual MREs were handled, stored, etc., unless you trust the seller/source.

I've bought and used the civi Apacks from ebay and the epicenter and actually like them. The contents are a bit different from the military MREs...Apacks have more snacks instead of the usual sides, but their entrees and snacks are tasty and convenient.
