Del Monte Harvest Selects

Post by Big Galloot » Wed Jul 16, 2008 1:16 pm

It looks like Del Monte is going into competition with Hormel's Compleats with their Harvest Select line.

The Beef Stew is 10.5oz compared to the Dinty Moore Beef Stew at 10oz. The calorie total is 310 vs 250 for Dinty Moore. They are also available in Italian Pasta Bake, Chicken Cacciatore, Homestyle Chili with Beans, Cheese and Spinach Ravioli and Santa-Fe Style Rice and Beans

They are on sale at my local Publix 3 for $ 5.00.

I'll give them a try and report back, if I survive the experience.

I have only been aware of them selling fruits and vegetables under the Del Monte brand, but remember that they also own StarKist and College Park as well as Gravy Train which makes its own gravy!

Cool stuff, Big Galloot! I'll keep my eye out at Wally World for them.

I really enjoyed the cheese and spinach ravioli as well as one other one, I really thought it was better than average. Of course, now I can't find that particular one around here, go figure.
