Stowaway Gourmet: Thai Curry with Shrimp

I just tried one of these and thought I would share just in case someone was thinking about picking one up.

The front and the back:

Open the pack. Super strong shrimp smell, which is good. I would say there were over 20 shrimp in there.

Add in the water. I waited 11 minutes because I thought the dried shrimp might need a little more than the recommended time.

And here is the final product. I think they were just going for a generic curry here. It is really tasty with a lot of turmeric and cilantro flavor. You can taste some coconut and there is some saltiness and a little heat in there too. If I had to complain I would say that the shrimp were still a little crunchy even after some extra time. I haven't had a lot of experience with rehydrated shrimp before so that might be par for the course. The only thing keeping me from buying more of these to keep around the house is the price, at about $16 USD each plus shipping.

Thanks for reading.
