review
ok i bought three today on lunch at wal-mart. 1.98 each. i got bbq beef and beans, chili and spuds, and beef pot roast. i ate the bbq beef for lunch today. it was mostly beef with a little bit of beans. really strong bbq sauce flavor. not too sweet, not spicy either. i really liked it. it was salty enough. all in all it was good just the way it was. it would be good between bread to make a sorta pulled bbq sandwich. i would eat it again and i will. i think the portions are too small. i could have easily eaten another one. maybe some type of bread or cracker would complete the meal. i will post review of the pot roast on monday after lunch.

teriyaki chicken and beef pot roast
okay today for lunch i had the teriayaki chicken and the beef pot roast hormel compleats.
teriyaki chicken- awesome, i loved this meal. good chunks of chicken. lots of rice of course. little pineapple pieces and water chestnuts. a few pieces of sweet peppers. the flavor was great. the texture was good. the sauce was just right not too sweet not too salty.
pot roast - not my favorite by any means. the meat was ok, the veggies i didnt really like. what struck me most was the flavor of the gravy. there was something that just wasnt right. hard to explain. not horrible but just a little off. i will not eat this one again.
bbq beef and beans - it was mostly beef with a little bit of beans. really strong bbq sauce flavor. not too sweet, not spicy either. i really liked it. it was salty enough. all in all it was good just the way it was.

lemon pepper pasta with chicken
lemon pepper pasta with chicken - pretty good entree. first bite i was unsure. but after a few bites determined is pretty good. not a powerful lemon taste just a hint. small pieces of chicken, peas and the sauce is a good texture. all i can say is pretty good.

I just finished a Turkey & Dressing with Gravy for lunch.
After nuking it for 90 seconds and opening it I was greeted with two slices of dark meat turkey on top of dressing and gravy. My first impression was that the turkey was a little bland, but that the dressing & gravy are really good. After a few bites I added some salt and BAM! That really awoke the taste buds. Additional salt is highly recommended on this entree right from the onset. After a few more bites (yum) I decided to try a few dashes of garlic pepper. That was good too ---- but the additional salt was the real key to waking this entree up.
I must say that the dressing and gravy were exceptionally good. There was plenty of both, and to my surprise the celery in the dressing actually retained some of it's crunchiness.....a pleasant palet sensation!
My only complaint is of course the rather small (10 ounce) size of the entree. As previously mentioned by Kman you really need to supliment these dishes with some extra eats, or maybe just consume 2 of them.
This entree registers at 290 calories each.

Everything tastes better with Tabasco
Isn't that caloric count about the same for many of the 8oz MRE entrees?
