The product in question:
Available here in the UK from supermarkets, most seem to have their own version as far as I know.
The date says it is good until November 2010, and it can be storred at room temperature. It suggests that you remove the contents from the foil bag and fry it on the stove,
but I'm going to try boiling it in the bag: It's quite a big bag, so you will need a fairly large pan to heat it in.
And Serve: First impressions are good, it seems to have cooked and smells fine. It is rather oily, as it includes the oil needed to fry it, and there is hardly any bacon.
That said, the potato tastes fairly fresh, and is nice and firm. The overall taste is fine, although a little bland.

9.2g Fat
1g Sugars
1.2g Saturated Fats
2.5g Salt
I've eaten most of the pack before the oil got the better of me.
Overall, I would recommend this as a side dish, possibly for more than one person. I would also recommend frying it, as although boil in the bag is possible,
it doesn't do much for the flavour!!!
