In my possession, I present to you a 2016 LRP, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce! I have a whole case of 2016 LRPs and I hope to review and document every single menu on here. So, let's get right to it. :D

This one was very enjoyable. The spaghetti tasted the same as any other Mountain House spaghetti.

The fig bars were good, but I was surprised at how broken up they appeared since this ration is so new. The peanut butter bar is pretty good as well, it had peanuts mixed in with it, so that's one item that probably won't last for long since peanuts develop a really nasty, sour taste as they age.

The dairyshake powder was just as amazing as any other MRE shake I've had. I should mention that although it is a shake, actually shaking it didn't occur to me this time. I poured the powder and water into a glass and stirred it. While it tasted okay, I should have added a small amount of water in the pouch directly and shook it, I like it better when it's creamy and thick (You know what I mean, no comments from the peanut gallery! :P ). The grape drink was also quite tasty, but again, I should have shook it in the pouch because it got very sludgy on the bottom of the glass.

Unfortunately, I can't attest to the coffee. I don't know about you, but I've heard that drinking coffee shortly before bed time is a bad idea. :P

Anyway, that's it for this one! I should also note that it's interesting that they taped a paper label for the menu. Underneath it, the same menu is specified. I'm also surprised they didn't include a candy like Skittles or M&Ms with this meal, they usually have in the past.
