Please help date this! Survival water

Post by T Bone » Mon Aug 22, 2016 10:46 pm

Hi guys,

Please advise of the date of this can of emergency water. I can't seem to find a way to interpret the date code.

Thanks

If I remember right (from a can I had), that numbers weren´t a date codes but a manufacturer "code".

We had those in the 70s, if that helps. If it still sounds like there's a solid chunk of something in there when you shake it, it's probably still good, btw. It sounds like that because it's vacuum-packed and there's no air to cushion the water when it hits the inside of the can. Weird, but true. If it sloshes, air got in and brought algae, fungi, yeasts, and other stuff with it.
