Vietnam War-era Fried Ham MCI

Post by DarkCart » Fri Jun 17, 2016 1:56 pm

This came in the mail today. The box looked fine except for a few stains and the cans looked ok. It smelled pretty acidic, but I attribute that to the 50-year old matches more than anything else.

Imgur album (~30 images)

Eventually I'll man up and make a video of me opening the cans, but until then, what do you guys think?

(Sorry BlackDogBob, no cigs in this accessory packet)

Nice pics! I wonder why they call it, "fried ham"? Seems like regular ham to me - its up to the soldier to do the frying part. They probably charged the Military extra for the fried part... Were the cigarettes removed from the accessory pack? If the accessory pack does not list them on the contents then this was post a '75 (approx) ration.
