Time To Eat
DSCN1760.JPG
I drained a lot of water out of the eggs before i plated, again a large serving, easily large enough for two.
DSCN1762.JPG
Same with the oatmeal, this is about half of the pack
DSCN1761.JPG
The Eggs and Bacon were very good, i was surprised. A lot of bacon in there also.

The oatmeal was bland at best, so i spiced it up with the cocoa mix

Much better with the cocoa in it

Accessory pack w/green gum

A very good MRE, i think i like it better than the Menu 1 so far

Great review and pics NNF! Now why could'nt they have had this stuff back during the cold war? Back then if we wanted a breakfast ration in the field, it was either the ham and eggs, chopped MCI or the newer Omelette w/Ham MRE. Oh well, our troops deserve the best considering all they do for us.

Thank you for that great review of a scarce US ration :D . I have some MCWs in my collection, but I never opened one yet :? .

Responding to your pic I guess you used too much water for preparing the oatmeal. Less water means more taste and better eating
