I don´t understand the hype about FSRs.

Buy the sandwiches at http://www.longlifefood.com/pbr--Meat-E ... ucts/1025/ or at amazon.
Add some MRE items and dump the FRH and et viola = FSR.

Housil,

For us here is the states, it is impossible to find one. The idea is just to have the manufacturers produce a similar one and put it out there so everyone can enjoy a FSR for whatever reason. Sure, there are components out there that are found in the FSR but to have a complete, bagged FSR would be ideal. That's all were asking for.

There is FSR also in Japanese Yahoo! Auctions.
However, the price is amazing!

I signed it... Will be nice if it comes to reality. Would be nice to have something like this for hiking.

Sure, we could potentially create our own pack using the sandwiches, commercial products, sports drinks, etc... but it would be nice to have it pre-done.

Hmmm... definitely a commercial opportunity...

I still think it is a waste of time.. even if they decide to produce it.
Why?

A civillian mre costs enough anyhow, and the FSR contains more expensive items.
Result? Very pricy civil FSRs.

And then nobody buys them, and they discontinue it.. ;)
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Cracker, it's really a great idea if you think about it. And if they do produce it then that's even better. Like I was mentioning to Housil, we here in the states can't get them so if they make a civilian version and market it I bet it might be a little spendy in the begining but soon as people start buying them then the price comes down then people will buy more like regular MRE's. Of course it depends what your paying for a regular MRE nowadays. I don't pay very much for regular MRE's. Hannonmc really described it best when he said it would be nice if everything was pre assembled and you take it as a "grab-n-go" ration. That's the idea behind producing a civilian version.
