Every Cigarette Brand used in the MCI from 59, till the end in 72
Every Cigarette Brand used in the MCI from 59, till the end in 72
For reference:
I'm only the owner and "caretaker" at this point in history, was not the collector who had the foresight back "then" to go through all those accessory packs to put this together.
I thought I was doing well with the few usual samples I had from those MCI's. I still have a hard time processing it's in my collection...
I'm shocked that Old Gold and a few others were actually used in the "mini-packs".

Super cool setup for the smokes, man. A bit late to chime in here..
Gotta find yourself a pack of Viceroy!
There were 3 and 9 CT packs from ww2 C rats as well of Chesters, philip morris, and i forget the other... . Oh I remember... Fleetwood.
And those emergency parachute rats... they also have 3 count packs. Usually-
'Call for Philip Morris.'
Only found Viceroy in Meal Quick Serve acc packets.
They're out there albeit pretty rare. Got one sealed acc packet left and then an empty one or two packs. Traded another to a fellow reviewer.
Man those were smooth and tasty smokes. It's pretty amazing to me still as to how & why some of those old cigs are still so good. Must be when those acc packs remain air tight and cool stored. Not always the case though and when theyre rough, they're really rough. Sometimes it's like you're smokin rotten roses & geraniums through a cotton ball.

so far as the WWII 9 packs i've only seen lucky, chesterfield, and philip morris
and then chelsea would band 3 3packs together as well, still on the lookout for an example of that
and then there were 10 packs like that came in the 10 in 1, have a chesterfield and just picked up a fleetwood today. there's just no end to this collecting shit!

I forgot about those dreaded Chelseas.
Wonder how many more brands & size packs are out there that we're missing.
If I ever see Fleetwoods again, they turn up in old K rats as well, I'll likely keep em sealed. Don't like smokin K rat cigs, they're usually a mess. Good score on those 10 in 1 packs.
Just realized this thread is for MCI acc packet smokes, not the older or prototypes per say. Perhaps MCI acc pack had the Viceroy's at some point? The 1961 Meal Quick Serve had em. Man that was a cool ration.
Raleigh also turned up in K rats. I have a 1942 pack that is white and that same k rat has sugar cube wrappers that advertise an old hotel. Or maybe a bar? Been a few years since I've looked at it. That same k rat has moisture still in the main. A corned pork loaf.. super bloated though. Gonna need to wear gloves with that one.

the raleigh white pack with the vertical logo is the only K rat cigs that i'm missing
so far as i know, every other K rat cigarette pack is represented in this pic (as well as that 10pk chesterfield)

I see you have a well stocked pantry.
Found the Raleighs. Got two packs, this is the nicer one. Early gen unlabeled and longer fruit bar behind it. Bug holes all in these components... that's the issue with rations inside boxes & not canned. Weevils get in.
