We are taking a look at a bit of a unique US Military Ration today. This is a HALAL Meal Individual from 2016. These are alternative MRE's for those US Troops that have specific dietary requirements as a result of their Muslim religion. The shelf life on these HALAL meals is a good bit less than that of a standard MRE but these meals can contain some very interesting menu items. This is the first MRE I've tried that contained Lamb. I've also never had Jalfrezi before this so I'm not quite sure how it compares to the real thing. It wasn't bad though!
