I love those corn kernels in MRE's, especially if it had tortillas as well, throw them in with the main for extra crunch and salt. Great stuffConrad wrote:There was a bag of peanut m+ms in that one but toasted corn instead of almonds. In the one I reviewed in this post it had no m+ms , but the corn and the smoked almonds togetherBTemple wrote:
Oh man that sounds like a great combination. Some M&M's and smoked almonds too would make it amazing.

In the immortal words of President Harrison Ford, Air Force One: Peace is not the absence of war... it is the presence of justice.

I do exactly that with chili macaroni or beef stew when the corn kernels are there. Well I put in half and eat the other halfBTemple wrote:Conrad wrote:

Spectacular review! I'll have to bust into my beef stew pretty soon! I don't know when my dates though, I'll have to dig it up and find out.
Killed by rancid pound-cake. I know that will be on my tomb stone.

Niiiice!
We had the worst storm in 50 years here today, had to leave work and get home. Power was out so I used my stove and prepared a breakfast skillet MCW , has kept me going from 10.45 am right through to now just after 6pm and no sign of running out of fuel yet.

It's easing off now. Worst damage so far is just a section of fencing blown away. 3 people have been killed so far during the storm though around the country. Not a large amount compared to other countries but still tragic and very unusual for this countrySimon2002mre wrote:Dang! Well stay safe! And those MCWs are just amazing!! Thanks simon. Luckily this is meant to be only a 1-2 day storm and we've got off lightly here. Yeah it's a good feeling knowing I've got rations. An easy and convenient, reliable way of preparing a decent meal with no power .Simon2002mre wrote:Conrad wrote:Simon2002mre wrote: Ya for sure man, I wish you luck in the rebuild! Part of a polish S RG 1 for supper tonight.
