I agree Rocky, most artificial flavors are bordering grotesque to me - candies and drink mixes are far overpowering and sweet. And all the food coloring too..! For instance, you've got MRE fruit punch drink mixes .. ever see how badly that stuff stains white cups? I love the French RCIRs or even UK 24hr drink mixes - no coloring like here in the US. I have this feeling the govt wants our guys to be drinking what resembles Kool Aid from their childhoods. Is it intense in coloring to mask the tinfe color of treated water? Only purpose i can muster on that.

Most of the food dyes that you see in US MRE's, especially in drinks, are actually banned in Europe. Those things are known to cause allergic reactions, hyperactivity and even cancer. :( That's probably why the drinks in Euro rations are not as colorful.

Hahah if you think about it just about everything could as well, so the way I look at it I don't care lol.

Just like trans fats are illegal in the us but some how still end up in foods
