Here's a US Military Meal Ready to Eat that you don't see very often. We are taking a look at a Kosher MRE. This meal kit has everything you would find in a standard American field ration, but the contents are Kosher to meet the dietary requirements of Jewish soldiers. These Kosher food packs offer several main course options you won't find in a regular MRE. The menu I was lucky enough to review is 'Hickory Smoked Beef in Brown Rice, Mushrooms, Lentils, and Vegetables.' I was surprised to see that the entrée was packed by the commercial ration company MRE Star, and the other components were also packed by civilian MRE producers, most notably the NEX-XOS company.
