8/42 C rat B unit

Post by texrdnec » Tue Mar 21, 2023 11:12 pm

This thing was an ugly duckling and ended up being a cull that didn’t fit into my display

I thought about selling but it was ugly and wouldn’t go for much

So I shook it. It had a glorious clunk to it. Glorious enough that I took a chance on the old girl and opened my first B unit

There was a little crystallization on the sugar but everything else was 100%

I ate a perfectly preserved biscuit and then an awesome orange hard candy. Felt shitty to waste it but used the rest for my display

There was a “nice hiss” even

Super cool!
Whole intact biscuits too, not just crumbs :D. Looks like they've got grain husks in them, true whole wheat. Maybe those husky bits work like rebar to improve the stru tural integrity of the biscuit
There's something I really like aesthetically about these cans and their contents. Those bits look great in your display.

Very cool! :)

Love those old hard candies. You score if ya get butterscotch. Biscuits, if fresh? I prefer 'em over the newer crackers and whatnot. That coffee can vary in it's taste.. Barrington Hall was rough. Nescafe was much smoother.
