I found a few B-1/B-3 units that I wanted to try out, so I decided to take some pictures so you could all come along for the ride. Everything in the B-3 unit was still good. The chocolate bar was starting lose its flavor and I could tell it was starting to turn, but it was still edible. I kept on in its wrapping for collection purposes. The crackers were pretty stale but kept their flavor. The B-1 unit wasn't so good. The first small bite of the vanilla fudge candy was okay, but after a second bite, my entire tongue became numb, so I had to pass on that. It looked really good, too! Oddly enough, the crackers were also sour, stale and had no flavor at all. I wonder if the fudge bar somehow contaminated them after all these years.
It also appears the images were uploaded in reverse. You'll have to scroll from bottom to top to start from the beginning. I'm too lazy to go back and re-upload them.

I have some other MCI components around here and the peanut butter comes in a separate, much smaller can. One day I plan to try it and post pictures of it as well.

I bought them along with a variety of other assorted MCIs at a local army surplus store about a year ago. I have two MCIs that are untouched and the rest of the cartons had random assorted cans in them. Another time, I went to a different army surplus store and found some 1974 MCIs. If you're interested, you may look at review of a Spaghetti one I did here:
