Globe Equipment Lifeboat and LifeRaft Ration
Globe Equipment Lifeboat and LifeRaft Ration
1956 Globe Equipment U.S Coast Guard Approved Lifeboat and LifeRaft Ration. Hey everyone I really wanted to post this review on here because before I did my review I had a really hard time finding anything about the ration. Maybe this post will help someone else out in the future.

Amazing! Thank you for the review and the good visuals!!
I never knew that malted milk candy was actually given credit as a potential survival item.
I do recall in SERE school that we were given "rations" for E&E kits at one point. The situation was role playing and I guess I wasn't being a team player when I bit into one and announced, "hey, these aren't bad, they're just malted milk candy!" An instructor told me to shut up and just play along

Those malted milk tabs sound awesome.

I was happy to get to share this one with everyone. When I bought this one I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find information on. But about the malted milk, I've had some from a 1942 k-ration, and another lifeboat ration from the 40s. Although I didn't expect them to be edible from my ration this time they turned out to be fantastic.Travelowl wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 8:51 amAmazing! Thank you for the review and the good visuals!!

Way, way better than I expected. I've had a few other types from U.S rations but these by far were the best.

Re: Globe Equipment Lifeboat and LifeRaft Ration
That was is pretty good shape for 1956. The malted milk tabs in that can is such a unique part of this one. And still being edible/palatable is not super common.
I know that flavor and it's pleasant and satisfying. Like malted dried milk candies with enough sweetness to call it a candy. When softened up they get caught in your teeth if chewed.
The biscuits not being rancid is pretty amazing, and you got at least 1 good display tropical bar.
It's great to see this one on the forums in photo/written form it deserves such. Thank you for sharing it Oldsmokey! And hey I'll trade ya for a zip loc baggie of biscuits and a handful of malted milk tabs. Haha

Oh man thanks for checking out the written review. I did feel like this needed to get documented on the Internet since I couldn't find squat before the review.
I'm going to build you a box today and try to ship it out tomorrow. Hopefully there still in ok shape.
