Your kidding me. I want a case of them. I like the idea of condensed and nutrient rich foods. Especially when they taste really good. The soup broth is an awesome added item. The variety of flavors was nice. All granola or cornflake would have been repetitious.
Would be cool to see what is in store for the future with these ration bars.
I personally, when hiking/camping love easy to handle and acessable foods like:
granola/protein bars, trail mix,
And lots of water (2 gal jugs)
I even bring a "lifestraw" for backup.
Shoot, with the kids now, I barely have time to go #2 by myself, let alone go hiking, But when I do it would be cool to bring some ration bars.

In the new version the bars are 1 kind and that's it. I had luck to get one some time ago.
You should try and get russian Marine Pro survival bar, as a ration reviewer your job is to shock people that hike with you with your food choices. An aluminium pack with russian cyrillic words printed on it should do the job.
I'll post the link as a code if you are interested to see it, I don't want to hijack the thread
