It's actually real - the rumors are no longer just rumors. And after 30+ years of development, probably millions spent in research & testing, and multiple failures before this finally being a thing.. it is finally here.

Just going to share pictures for now. Editing the video and the pictures speak a thousand words.

Will say real fast though - heating cherry blueberry cobbler in a FRH is the way to go as with the pizza. Put them both in.

Italian breadsticks and jalapeno cheese spread are a match made in heaven. I put a tad bot of the cheese on one of my last bites of pizza too - ah man that was perfect.

The new chocolate protein drink is not the tastiest thing in the world but it packs some xtra protein and has no trans fat which is nice.

TFF breadsticks and oatmeal cookie - that cookie is rich and is not too sweet. Crunchy and with a nice taste of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pizza is like some halfway decent frozen pizza from the grocery store! With a slight akin of old school cafeteria pizza (anyone else remember the square pizza slices from school?).

Nice Steve! Very cool to see the old Natick pics as well. Cant wait to check out the video, this looks like an MRE I will actually pickup when I can find one - as I really like to see that they are finally phasing out the Trans-Fat.

What a great selection of items! It's so hard to go wrong with that cobbler, I'd have to say it's my absolute favorite current MRE dessert. I don't think I've tried it heated before, guess I have something new to try next time.

I also had the individual pizza (it was for sale on eBay for quite an agreeable price), and I was pretty impressed with it. Not much in the way of flavor and it is very much like school pizza (ugh) but considerably better! I also wasn't sure of whether to heat it or not, but I see Natick recommends heating it. I tried it both ways, heated was definitely the way to go. Much to my surprise, the cheese did not melt. Someone will need to perform a science experiment and find out what that darn temperature threshold is for melting the cheese!

I completely agree with you on the Italian breadsticks and jalapeno cheese, what a delight. The cookie is also perfectly tasty, but I do like the chocolate chip oatmeal cookie much more. Why? Because chocolate!

Wow just wow. This is an epic day in mre review history. Like Steve said 30 plus years and millions in developing this marvel. Something to give the guys eating it in the desert or some foreign land a little feel of home. When I was doing a bunch of research on the pizza for a video I realized what a mega huge deal it really is. I'm pretty sure there's not another single component they've worked on this long before releasing it. I have a feeling most things they'd give up on with as many issues as they had making the pizza hold up to their standards. I couldn't be more happy that Steve you got the first ever review of the office U.S MRE Menu #23 Pepperoni Pizza Slice. Congrats dude. I hope this video gets 100 million views. The most viral mre review video ever.

I just noticed type II coffee in the 2017 menus, I didn't see it in any 2016 ones. Maybe that's a sign of things to come!
