I got Menu #2, vegetables and pasta with taco sauce, something like that.
It had:
-Vegetables with pasta in taco sauce
-one pack of MRE crackers
-chunky peanut butter
-jalapeno cashews
-Zapplesauce
-chocolate chip cookie
-Twizzlers
-french vanilla cappuccino
-some kind of raspberry drink
-accessory packet with usual stuff (salt, sugar, hot sauce, toilet paper, moist towelette, two bits of gum)
Of course, the amazon page didn't tell you what menu you were going to get, so when I opened it up and saw "vegetables and pasta", I was a bit hesitant, but it turned out to be really nice. It looked and tasted like chili, just without meat. Some kind of thick tomato sauce with beans and other little vegetable chunks, as well as some small pieces of pasta all throughout. Lightly spicy as well. Surprisingly good.
The coffee was even more surprisingly good. Normally I absolutely detest coffee; I haven't found a single kind of coffee that I can even stand to take more than one sip of. This coffee however, "french vanilla cappuccino"....it was okay. Not really 'good', but perfectly drinkable. I could still taste a little bit of that bitter coffee flavor, but the vanilla flavor overpowered it. My first coffee ever, that I actually wanted to drink more of it because it tasted fine. Amazing.
The "Zapplesauce" was also really nice, tasted super sweet. Though I'm accustomed to unsweetened applesauce, so that's probably why it tasted so good. MRE crackers were nice, as was the chunky peanut butter. The "chocolate chip" cookie was okay; it tasted more like a sugar cookie with chocolate chips in it. The jalapeno cashews seemed decent, but spicy stuff isn't really my thing.
I'm assuming the MRE was pretty old, because the Twizzlers included had an expiration date in 2016. Everything else was perfectly fresh and tasted fine, however.
Definitely going to be getting another MRE soon, and next time I'll take pictures like other reviews do.
