US MRE 2012 #7 BRISKET ENTREE

Post by sparkingdogg » Thu Apr 06, 2017 9:57 pm

Mmmm best entree yet. Brisket is really good. Nice wholesome texture. Not processed. Tender and savory. Garlic mashed potatoes with butter buds... fantastic! Cheese and crackers right on par, no disappointments. Toffee crunch cookie tasted fresh. Chocolate toffee candies were okay but tasted a bit artificial. Not too bad though. Drinks were refreshing.

NO COFFEE

Added my own instant coffee. All in all, top notch! The best so far, as I work my way through the 2012 Case A menu. If it had a brownie and not cookie, and some coffee, it would be my "dream ration" haha. Very good overall. A very lovely lunch today. Finished everything, but saved the cookie and one cracker/cheese, toffees, and the cold drinks for my kids. They like to try the stuff too, and I don't care for sweet stuff too much.

Man, they were indeed really good! By far the best ration potatoes I have ever had. Try this ration if you get a chance... it's for sure a great one.

Ate a combination of brisket and fried rice entrees last night... brisket by itself was fab... fried rice was so-so... combined them, and it was a great meal.

Just had this the first time the other night myself and it was really good! Didn't have any butterbuds for the potatoes but good otherwise esp. after I scooped the brisket and taters on some crackers!

Awesome! I thought I saw a review and it had the butterbuds in the accessory pack but maybe I mixed that up with another MRE?

I want to say, it was a review by Kiwi Dude where I saw the use of butterbuds, not 100% certain.
