1998 chicken breast

Post by jubifahrer » Mon Feb 26, 2007 4:10 pm

Toda i had a Chicken Breast Fillet with rib meat, chunked and formed, breaded in tomato sauce, with cavatelli

The code on the pack was 8322, seems to be 1998, day 322.

It smelled, tasted and looked very delicious.

I like that Chicken w/ Cavatelli - ver tasty! And I like the way you arranged the pic - looks like you cut open the chicken breast and all the pasta spilled out. Kind of gross in that respect, but also kind of artsy. :-)

MMM, thats looks good. I'll have that. I think I see a facsimilee of Robert E. Lee, or someone, in the sauce. Kind of like the peice of toast with Christ in it, that some lady got $8000.00 for, on Ebay. 8)  :D

Thank you kman, but you have to give the praise to my wife, she made the arrangement.

And yes, i put it out of the package and warmed it up in the microwave. Sorry for that, i never will do this again

That one tastes best when eaten straight out of the pouch with your plastic spoon. Also helps to be siiting on wet ground so your rear-end is chilly.

It loses its "magic" on a real plate.

True, Richard w. But I think in general, MREs lose their magic when you put them on a plate and see them in full light. :-)

I'm pretty sure that's 1998 because I don't think the Chicken Cavatelli has been around that long. Also, that's a good question on the color of the pouch. I think the current ones are green but I don't recall what color the really old ones are - is it brown? I might have to go wonder over to MRE stash and check it out.

Yes,

it was a 1998 meal, because the nutritional info were on items.
