Hey guys, sorry no pics for this one. I wanted to get this one out of the way as I knew it was going to be my least fav out of the 2014 case B. In advance, I can't stand gravy or any white sauces in general so I knew what I was in for here.

A couple of interesting notes: the bev base powder (lemon lime) didn't mix well. Even after long minutes of vigorous shaking I was left with large clumps and floating pieces of green solids. I've never had an issue with base powder drinks before so I'm not sure what the issue was here. Also the granola with milk and blueberries (the highlight of the meal) go VERY easy with the water! They reccomend 2-3 ounces. Even at two ounces it was a little watery for me. 1 1/2 oz would be perfect.

Well where to start? The cheese spread and crackers were fine, fresh and in one piece, no issues there. The choc banana nut muffin top was great!! (I'm a fan of the bakery items) and as stated earlier the granola with milk and blueberries was awesome! The only highlight for me in the entire meal.

The main entree...? Well again maybe not the most fair review since I can't stomach "gravy" and despise white sauces (ranch, Alfredo, ect) it was mostly flavorless gravy with a generic milky cream taste and consistancy. The sausage was in small to medium chunks and quite spicy. I took about 4 spoonfuls before throwing in the towel. In a crisis situation my dog will be happy to hear he will have a hot meal ready for him. This is the first mre I really disliked and im sort of not surprised its gone for 2015.

I must defend the gravy as a winter time breakfast entree. If you spoon it over the biscuits or snack break while it's piping hot and add the Tabasco and black pepper it's welcome. :D

I would not like to eat it as lunch or supper even in winter. Eating it cold would not work for me. I could see this entree being part of a breakfast group. Oatmeal, Gits, hash browns and bacon. But MREs are not meal time specific. You get what you draw and trade what you don't like. For me I take this for winter camping and heat it boil in bag style.

Update: I just opened a TOTM (3039) and had the EXACT same issue with the lemon lime drink powder. Is there something about this flavor I don't know?

It may be just a failure within a single run of production/packaging. Either in formulation, or simply bad packaging.
I have used the L/L powder several times before without any issues. As a matter of fact, I don't believe I can remember any of the drink powders failing to dissolve. However, these were older issue... pre-2014.

I can't really chalk it up to random when it happened in both a MRE (4039) Ameriqual, and a TOTM (3045) wornick co.
There's gotta be some issue there, probably like you said, the manufacture having issues on their end. Every other flavor powder i mix turns out just fine.
