Hi guys,

yesterday after lunch as dessert I ate a MRE Vanilla Pudding (DoP January 27, 2011). I had it for the first time.

I did not follow the instructions on the pouch; instead I put the powder in a bowl, added the 4 ounces of water and stirred with my white MCI spoon :) .

Here are the photos:

As you can see there were some little clumps, but that didn“t matter (perhaps that clumps will not appear if prepared according to the directions for use :?: .

That stuff is really awesome :D . Intensive vanilla taste, very creamy texture :D !

So long mreheater72

Great pics. I never had them either, just a Canadian one. I like the idea of a pudding dessert like "jell-o"

I hear that the chocolate one is better than any pudding you can buy.

(Or maybe it's just better than any pudding you can buy in the middle of Afghanistan...LOL!)

The shake preparation method does eliminate more lumps. The package says to shake for 60 seconds, but that's pretty much impossible as it thickets up fairly quickly when shaken. Love the chocolate one, not certain I've tried Vanilla yet.

These are nice.

Even better when you get creative

Pound cake and pudding, can add some coco mix and coffee if you want mocha or drink mixes for fruit flavor.

Nice idea to join a recent pudding with a vintage tray ration cake, looks yummy :D ! I guess that combination will never appear in the field :) .

Ration cakes with "cocoa or chocolate icing" are always very fine, also peanut butter is matching here.

Hi MREheater,

nice review, thanks!
They are kinda nice, good tasting. I do like 'm myself as well.
I have a few chocolate and strawberry ones.
Funny thing about the strawberry ones is that the powder looks similar to the vanilla one.
As, not red, colourwise. It turns to red/pinkyish once it comes in contact with a fluid.
Mostly I use milk instead of water. Gives it a bit of a more creamy taste ;)

Keep tasting !
